Am I a teacher?

AI told me today that some of the best teachers aren't the ones we choose, but the ones that push us to see things differently. Does this ring true for you?
I often grapple with the statement "I am a teacher". In general I feel this way with any label. I prefer to say ‘hats’ instead of concrete identities or labels. Like this:- Sometimes I wear the hat of a teacher and sometimes I wear the hat of a daughter.
What hats do you wear and change between daily?
So this whole concept of being a teacher got me to reflect. I know that I am here to lead and to teach, yet I have not found that one thing that I am here to teach. So it's a bit confusing.
I have often heard the best teachers are the ones who inspire by being the embodiment of that which they wish for people to learn. This sits with me well.
I am eager to learn. I love this about myself. I respect that about myself. Constantly wanting to learn. I think this is what makes a good teacher. A teacher, in my eyes, is someone who is a student. Someone who is constantly available to learn something new. One who has been humbled. One who is open to new ideas and perspectives. Someone who is willing to be wrong and to change course if that's what's best for all involved.
This is what inspires me. This is who I want to be as a teacher.
In my eyes there are no right or wrong ways to do things or how to see the world. Each person on this Earth plane is here to 'inner'stand themselves, to find joy and peace and also to remember where they've come from.
There's nothing I can 'teach' you per se, but rather to shine a light on the ways and perspectives you have not seen or noticed yet. To hold a space that is free from all preconceived ideas about who you are and allow you to show me who you are. And in some ways, you do the exact same for me, at the same time. You will show me and open me up to new ways of seeing the world, from your perspective.
Interestingly enough, some of my favourite lessons or biggest teachings have come from ordinary people. Not the ones I have called teachers. And yet, I have many extraordinary teachers (ones who call themselves that) who I frequently remember and appreciate for all they’ve shared with me.
And none of this ‘teaching or learning’ is about taking the right or the wrong path. This is about broadening our view of humanity and beyond, allowing us to realise more about human nature and its complexities. Our consciousness expands to hold more realities or truths, at one time. This allows us to learn and gather information for when our time here on Earth is done. To return to the galaxy and share the information we learnt.
So, today I might be a teacher and tomorrow I might be a gnome. Who knows?
But ultimately we are all teachers to each other. Circumstances and situations also act as teachers. Dogs, cats and all animals act as teachers.
Who or what has been an insightful teacher to you and why ?
Love,
V
